Hits the mark
This bag is just what it promises to be. Even though it is shipped from the UK it arrived earlier than promised. The shape and dimensions are acceptable on every airline in the US, however there are some aircraft whose overhead bin is too small for it. I found it easy to pack and easy to carry.... -
Get what you pay for
On the plus side, it's very lightweight and cheap. Downside is the same. As I packed for a 2-week trip and noticed the seams looked dodgy, I began to suspect this was a one-trip bag. This was confirmed when one of the buckles for the straps was broken during baggage handling on return flight....

You'll need warm, waterproof clothing. Including sturdy walking boots, just make sure they're waterproof.
You should check with the organisers though, they should create a complete list of things to take with you.

The lack of response with the battery and charger plugged in sounds terminal as there should at least be a flash of light.
All I can say is check the power jack and give it a bit of a wiggle when you plug it in and watch for any signs of life.
