Viral Video of the Day: Syracuse University student does backflip every day ...
His fellow Syracuse University students were flipping out over Sam Morrison's trick all year last year. Morrison, a junior studying Information Management and Technology, bet his father $100 that he could do a back flip (standing backflip, gainer, wallflip, and other similar jumps) every day throughout 2011.
The New Jersey native not only achieved his goal -- he videotaped all his flips for proof.
On December 31, he completed his bet at a bowling alley with his family, doing a final backflip after attempting to throw a strike. His dad, Mitch Morrison, gave him a stack of one hundred $1 bills. Sam triumphantly celebrated by throwing the money in the air, making it "rain," and then diving onto the pile of cash.
Morrison, who goes by " Sam the Cobra " on Tumblr and Twitter, put together his best backflips in a compilation video released Tuesday. In the background, you'll hear the Glitch Mob Remix of "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes, also used in a "G.I Joe" movie trailer.
Vertically Striped Socks: My New Internet Love: Tumblr
When the Denver Broncos began in 1960 their notoriously cheap owner bought used uniforms that were previously used in the Copper Bowl. These rather unsightly uniforms had vertically striped socks, as pictured above. They were uniformly hated at the time, but in retrospect I find them endearingly ugly. Therefore I named the blog Vertically Striped Socks.
Vintage Acid Wash Jacket & Tokyo Bopper Platform Shoes in Harajuku
Here’s a 20-year-old Japanese girl named Shoko who we ran into in Harajuku. Her oversized acid wash jacket is what first caught our attention.
Shoko’s outfit features the large vintage acid wash jacket from The Virgin Mary over a dress from Candy, fishnet stockings, striped socks, and black Tokyo Bopper platform shoes. Accessories include a vintage fur muffler, a zipper ring from the Japanese brand F.E.A.R., and a canvas bag that says “Fashion Week Promotional Bag” in bold text on the side. If you’d like to know more about Shoko, you can check out her personal blog here .
